Big wins for Scottish supply chain as Global Energy Group and Salamander floating wind project team up

The Salamander project developed by Simply Blue Energy in partnership with Subsea 7 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Global Energy Group (GEG) to collaborate in the design, development and execution planning of the Salamander floating wind project.

Global Energy Group complete their first Onshore Wind storage and Marshalling project for Siemens Gamesa for the SSE Renewables, Gordonbush wind farm extension project in Brora. Global Energy Group and the Port of Nigg were selected for the Storage and Marshalling contract by Siemens Gamesa for the Gordonbush Onshore wind Farm due to a successful track record in the delivery of wind components, our strategic location and skills and expertise of the our onsite logistics teams.

The Port of Nigg selected as marshalling, storage and logistics base for foundation structures for Seagreen Offshore Windfarm

SSE Renewables and Total have announced that Global Energy Group’s (GEG) Port of Nigg near Inverness, Scotland, has been selected as the marshalling, storage and logistics base for 114 wind turbine foundation structures destined for the 1,075 MW Seagreen Offshore Windfarm being constructed in Scotland’s Firth of Forth.



Huge Boost from HIE to the support the development of additional quayside at the Port of Nigg.

Regional development agency, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), has approved investment of up to £8.3m in Scottish Government funding for an £18.9m project to develop the East Quay at our Port of Nigg facility. The project will help the Highlands and Islands economy benefit more from the growth in renewable energy development, as well as meeting the needs of existing clients.



GEG and Rosetti Marino form strategic partnership to execute large scale renewable energy and energy transition EPC and EPCI contracts in the UK.

In joining forces, the agreement provides Group with an increased competitive edge as well as adding a broader range of resources for customers in the UK.

10 further Moray East offshore jackets arrival at the Port of Nigg

The jackets will be offloaded at Nigg, where they will undergo the final preparations before they are loaded onto the jack-up vessel “Seajacks Scylla” which will undertake their installation at sea, more than 25km from shore in the Moray Firth.

Nigg Oil Terminal Jetty Operational Control Transferred to Global Energy Group
