Final Session of the 2024/25 Global Energy Group Emerging Leaders Programme
The final session of Global Energy Group’s Emerging Leader Programme concluded last week, with participants coming together at the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness, to deliver their final group challenge presentations.
This internal, 12-month programme has been expertly designed and led by our Talent Development Partner Fiona Skene, with the aim of identifying and develop future leadership potential across the Group. Throughout the year, participants explored their personal and professional leadership styles, while developing the confidence and capability to lead with purpose, influence, and adaptability.
To mark the closing phase of the programme, participants were invited to an intimate dinner hosted by GEG Chairman, Roy MacGregor. The evening offered a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about Roy’s own leadership journey and gain insight into the values and vision that continue to shape the Group.
Reflecting on the cohort’s progress, Lisa Winchester, People & Culture Director, said:
“Congratulations to our Emerging Leaders on what has been an incredible journey. They’ve challenged themselves to think strategically, grow beyond their immediate roles, and embrace leadership with authenticity and ambition. We’ve already seen the results through career growth, innovation, and strengthened collaboration. I hope that the programme will have a lasting and meaningful impact on both themselves and the wider Group.”
Fiona Skene added:
“It has been a privilege to work alongside this inspiring group of future leaders. Their commitment to the programme and to their own development has been outstanding. Watching their confidence, self-awareness and leadership capability grow has been incredibly rewarding. I’m proud of what they’ve achieved and excited to see what comes next for them.”
Congratulations and thank you to all of our 2024/25 Emerging Leader Programme participants: Kirsty Heughan, Stuart Edwards, Robbie Murray, Kathleen Mackay, Raymond Bellringer, Shaun Slaymaker, Darran Goller, Alasdair Fowell, Kerry Stewart and Greg Walker.
