Vacancies
Global Energy Services is seeking an experienced Scaffold Foreman to lead scaffold operations at the Port of Nigg, with occasional offshore and site-based work.
The role involved managing a team of scaffolders, ensuring safe, high-quality work is delivered on time and in line with industry regulations. The role involves planning and monitoring scaffolding activities, coordinating with site teams, maintaining equipment, and mentoring junior staff.
This is a full-time role (Mon–Fri), with some weekend or shift work required. A competitive salary and benefits package, including company pension, is offered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of scaffolders, ensuring high-quality work.
- Ensuring projects are completed on a timely basis within budget.
- Assess project requirements, review scaffold design drawings, plan, manage and monitor site scaffolds to meet the needs of the job, ensuring that the build programmes are adhered to.
- Ensure all scaffolding work complies with construction industry safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations SG4:22 and TG20:21 by conducting regular site safety inspections and audits, addressing any deficiencies immediately.
- Train and mentor junior and apprentice scaffolders, providing guidance on proper installation techniques, safety practices, and career development. Carry out regular toolbox talks to scaffolders.
- Work closely with site management and other trades, to ensure scaffolding operations integrate seamlessly with the overall construction timeline.
- Monitor scaffold materials and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and adequately stocked for upcoming plots on all developments.
- Document and report on the progress of scaffolding work, including any issues, delays, or safety concerns to the site management teams and health & safety department.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any scaffolding related issues (technical or non-technical) on-site, adjusting plans and resources as needed to maintain workflow and safety.
Key Requirements, Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working with a similar role.
- Hold strong organisational, leadership, problem solving and team management skills.
- Valid scaffolding qualification (CISRS Advanced Card).
- Valid Offshore Certs preferred.
- Must be Flexible and available to travel when required.
- Offshore/Onshore experience preferred.
- Ability to be demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of scaffolding types, techniques, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret scaffold design drawings and compliance sheets.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and climb scaffolding structures.
- PC literate.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday generally but may require weekend working and shift working on occasion.
Work Location: Based primarily at the Port of Nigg but may be required to support works offshore and out on client site.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Primavera P6 Planner to join our team, supporting subsea oil and gas steel fabrication projects. This role is critical in ensuring the effective planning, scheduling, and execution of complex fabrication and construction activities, working closely with project teams to maintain delivery efficiency and mitigate risks. Based at our Nigg site the option of Hybrid will also be considered but you must be able to visit site when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, incorporating engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities.
- Establish and maintain baseline schedules, tracking progress and highlighting deviations.
- Conduct critical path analysis (CPA) and schedule risk assessments to optimize project execution.
- Integrate subcontractor schedules, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline.
Project Controls & Performance Monitoring:
- Implement and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) to track project performance and progress against baselines.
- Develop and produce progress tracking dashboards and reports, providing early warnings on potential delays.
- Support cost control functions, ensuring schedule forecasts align with budget and financial reporting.
- Conduct trend analysis and scenario planning to mitigate risks and enhance project delivery.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and realistic schedule inputs.
- Facilitate planning and schedule review meetings, providing expert advice on sequencing, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Develop what-if scenarios and recovery plans to address project risks and ensure timely execution.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in project planning within the subsea oil and gas sector, particularly in steel fabrication and construction.
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6, including resource and cost loading, progress measurement, and schedule analysis.
- Strong understanding of project controls methodologies, including Earned Value Management (EVM), performance indices, and risk analysis.
- Experience working with construction contracting frameworks such as NEC, 'Lump Sum, Target Cost
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate complex project schedules.
Desirable:
- Experience with offshore construction, fabrication yards, or subsea installation projects.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI for reporting.
- Knowledge of risk management software such as Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA) or Safran Risk.

This position provides a critical service to our customers providing remote and physical technical support for users logging new requests or queries and issues relating to the Groups IT and telephony.

Key Accountabilies
Work effectively as an individual and part of the team to respond to first line enquiries in person, via email/IT Portal or telephone
Manage own time effectively in support of the Service Desk priorities as determined by the Service Desk Team Leader
Log, manage and close calls within the appropriate Service Desk system
Provide 1st and 2nd line IT/Telephony support for software, infrastructure and desktop services provided to end users.
Travel to Global sites as required to facilitate an effective service to users, which may include contractor, supplier or customer sites
Provide a consistent, high quality customer experience to end users
Maintain customer satisfaction levels, working with IT Management team to ensure standards are improved
Co-ordinate calls, issues and requests with 2nd line teams to ensure end user satisfaction and resolution
Deliver, install and set up IT/Telephony equipment as set out within the service catalogue or via user request
Adhere to ITIL, Service Desk and Group policies and procedures
Experience & Qualification
2-3 years’ experience in an IT helpdesk or support environment
Experience in key enterprise IT systems such as Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal

Purchasing Assistant (Nord Centre, Aberdeen)
Global Energy (Group) Ltd are a service focused, performance driven business, offering construction, maintenance and enhancement solutions to a diverse range of energy industry customers. They are currently recruiting a Purchasing Assistant for their South Fabrication Division in Aberdeen to assist the business into future works and technologies.
Hours: 39 Hours per week. However, working flexibility is required. Pay subject to Qualification and experience
Job Purpose & Objective
The role of Purchasing Assistant is responsible for ensuring the work is performed to a high standard in accordance with relevant procedures and non-conformities are reported to Supervisory staff. The Purchasing Assistant must support the overall delivery of Global Energy Groups to business objectives through the aligning of deliverables to that of the individual Business Unit strategy.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
1. To Assist in all administrative functions to support the Purchasing function within company supply chain process.
2. To deliver ERP system administration, data entry and expediting of company purchase orders.
3. Raising and placing purchase orders; obtaining price and delivery for items where necessary, gathering approvals, raise and issue purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
4. Issue enquiries, expedite and collate multi-vendor quotations.
5. Responsible for raising purchase orders for various manual requisitions and special purchases.
6. Managing the return to supplier process.
7. Facilitate open orders in a timely manner.
8. Identify and communicate supplier delivery performance issues to relevant department managers.
9. General administrative support including document preparation and archiving of all purchase orders.
10. Working closely with the Finance department to match deliveries with invoices and reconcile any queries.
11. Providing accurate and timely reporting of order status and cost savings.
12. Attend team meetings and company training sessions as requested.
13. Ensure work productivity is carried out in a cost-conscious manner.
14. Any other duty which, from time to time may reasonably be required to meet the needs of Global Energy Group and is within the remit of this post.
15. You may be required to travel to the Company’s site at Nigg Energy Park, Nigg on occasion for which additional remuneration may be payable and you will be advised of this prior to any such assignment.
