Success at the Port of Nigg Open Day

We recently celebrated a resounding success of the highly anticipated Port of Nigg Open Day, attracting a fantastic turnout of over 1,000 visitors. The event showcased the port's rich history within Scotland’s offshore energy industry, it’s ongoing transition into a renewables superhub, and its integral role within the local and national economy.

As part of the event, visitors were given guided bus tours to provide an insightful exploration of the port, revealing its extensive infrastructure and highlighting its exciting future development plans. An impressive exhibition offered an immersive experience, where attendees delved into the port's past, present, and future through interactive displays and informative videos.

Visitors of all ages participated in the fun and engaging activities onsite, including team challenges, bouncy castles, face painting, and scavenger hunts that sparked the curiosity of minds of many. Adding to the festive atmosphere, local vendors Bubble & Goose and The Storehouse offered some delicious foods and refreshments.

Global Highland and the Nigg Skills Academy were showcased at the event and provided visitors with information on future career opportunities.

The event fostered a sense of community and brought together locals, industry professionals, and visitors, who share your passion for the area and the port. We hope that the Open Day leaves a lasting impression on all who attended and further solidifying the port's well-deserved reputation as a vital hub of activity and progress.
