Iain Sinclair Appointed to the RenewableUK Board

We're delighted to announce that Iain Sinclair, our Executive Director, has been appointed to the RenewableUK Board. This tremendous accolade is a testament to Iain's professional experience and leadership in the industry.

Iain in among 6 leading industry figures who have been co-opted onto the Board, including Laura Fleming, Country Managing Director for Hitachi Energy in the UK and Ireland; Cristina Garcia Duffy, Technical Director at ORE Catapult; Adam Morrison, Ocean Winds Country Manager UK; David Rooney, Senior Vice President and Head of Offshore Sales for Vestas and Tristan Zipfel, EDF’s Director of Strategy and Investment Analysis.

RenewableUK, which is the UK’s leading renewable energy trade association led by their Chief Executive, Dan McGrail, has also appointed a new Chair and Vice Chair. The positions will be held by Paul Cooley, SSE’s Global Offshore Wind Director and Una Brosnan, Head of Offshore Strategy and New Markets at Mainstream Renewable Power, respectively.

Welcoming his appointment onto the Board, Iain Sinclair, said: "I’m honoured to join the RenewableUK Board and look forward to working with Paul, Dan and the RenewableUK team on the delivery of a future energy system that is secure, clean and sustainable."

The new Board appointments ensures full representation for both onshore and offshore technologies, including developers, operators and supply chain companies, as well as grid, leasing, policy and regulation experts. Guided by the Board and its members, RenewableUK is working towards building the country's future energy system, powered by clean energy.
