Trainees Achieve SVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding

Well done to Ryan Grant, Connor Gilmour, Robert Paterson, Drew Sutherland, Lewis Maclean, Danny Gitsham, and Jozef Morris for recently completing their SVQ level 3 in Fabrication and Welding. They have worked hard over the last number of years to achieve this goal and we are delighted with their efforts.

Having initially enrolled at Nigg Skills Academy to complete their SVQ Level 2 in Fabrication and Welding, they were offered a trainee opportunity within Global Energy Group's fabrication division at the Port of Nigg. This on-the-job training allowed them to gain the experience, skillset and knowledge to complete their SVQ Level 3.

The group of newly qualified trainees, said:
“This opportunity allowed us to gain many codings, fabrication and pipe fitting skills that will benefit us in the future. We worked hard over the 4 years, becoming more confident and skilled. We are now focusing on and looking forward to broadening our capabilities over the coming years, which will hopefully lead to opportunities to progress up the ladder.”

Operations Manager, Sean Nicholson, added:
“Congratulations to our newly qualified trainees, who have shown the expertise and versatility to carry out different tasks in varying environments over the last few years. We value their effort and will support them to further their fabrication careers within Global Energy Group.”
