The breadth and depth of our contracts has positioned GEG as an industry leader for Repair Order, Minor Modification, Fabrication and Construction services in the UKCS.
Employing c.900 personnel across our survey, engineering, fabrication and construction business our E&C division delivers annually approximately 2,000 Repair Order / Minor Modification scopes, 14 TARS and 1,000,000 liquidated man hours.
Our dynamic approach coupled with our wealth of experience means that we have developed a strong track record backed by a flexible and competitive commercial model.
Our customers receive a number of efficiencies from our integrated services, each service is further detailed below.
E&C’s survey department, has been conducting dimensional control surveys onshore, and offshore and overseas for over 17 years supporting a variety of industries both domestically in the UK and Internationally.
Where surveys are necessary we always use the best tool for the job, be this a total station (traditional dimensional control), 3D laser Scanner or a simple tape measure applied by our construction team offshore. By taking this approach, we are maximising efficiency and ensuring flexibility.
We use state of the art technologies to capture accurate sub-millimetre information that is critical to spool replacement and the routing of new piping systems. We can also provide pinpoint setting-out information, structural grillage positions and ensure correct alignment of new modules and structures.
Using a construction-led approach, Global Energy Group’s multidiscipline engineering teams excel in the delivery of repair orders and low complexity brownfield / minor modifications.
From planning and approval through to execution we deliver low complexity modifications across structural, piping, E&I and stress disciplines. Additionally, where there’s a client requirement, we work with trusted partners in non-core disciplines such as technical safety and process.
In the past three years Global Energy Group has been involved in modification projects, including structural brace repairs on FPSOs, new instrument tubing, Process Control Systems upgrades and various flowline modifications across multiple assets in the UKCS.
Our capacity, responsiveness and capability provide our customers with the assurance of delivery across a range of scopes. Our facilities in Aberdeen are focused on the needs of the Repair order and Modifications market, where we have extensive experience at delivering integrity related fabrication, efficiently.
With over 2,000 weld procedures and a dedicated welding engineering department, managed by highly experienced IWE/EWE qualified Welding Engineers, Global Energy Group works with the client and their specifications to deliver bespoke weld procedures and solutions.
