Tuesday 4th July 2017
Global Energy Group have been avid supporters of young people, apprentices and the IMeche for a number of years. During recent times our activity in this arena has been hindered by the challenges brought about our business by the lower oil price.
In an effort to maintain our interests and involvement with youth in the industry, we have agreed to host an event aimed to support, inspire and educate a number of graduates of the IMechE.
This site visit, which is set to welcome over 25 delegates, will provide an overview of fabrication processes and the opportunity to see these processes first hand. Scheduled for today, Tuesday 4th July, the visit will start with a presentation from Global Energy Group on the processes involved in structural and piping fabrication along with case studies on major projects where Q&A can be had.
The presentation will be followed by a site tour where delegates will be able to see a range of structural and piping projects in the process of being fabricated.
A demonstration on Dimensional Control Surveys will be given to highlight ways in which it supports fabrication verification.
Delegates will also be given a demonstration of how the likes of Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Inspection is conducted to confirm the quality of fabrication welds.
The visit will also include complementary food and refreshments and some time for networking.
