Project Engineer

South Fabrication, Global Energy Group, are a service focused, performance driven business, offering construction, maintenance and enhancement solutions to a diverse range of energy industry customers.

We are currently recruiting for dedicated and enthusiastic experienced Project Engineer (extensive experience in the Fabrication Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry) to join the Commercial Team.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide technical and commercial project engineering (including management) of client projects from estimating through to project delivery
• Develop Cost and Schedule, including CTR’s, plan and job card.
• Accountable for identifying the project risk category, project estimating and tendering
• Manage project costs and project variations in a timely manner
• Maintain relationships with clients (existing and new) and follow up of quotations issued
• Liaise with clients on technical and commercial issues providing timely and concise resolution to challenges

Experience & Qualification

• Extensive experience as Project Engineer in the Fabrication Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry or equivalent, who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Demonstratable experience within the Oil & Gas Fabrication environment
• Estimating experience within Engineering/Fabrication
• Understanding of Contractual Conditions, experience in compiling and presenting Tender responses,
• Experience of using and manipulating computer based estimating models

• Undertake agreed training in order to provide a framework of knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the team/department/business unit in order to demonstrate and maintain required competency in role.
• Participate in regular reviews with relevant managers, identifying and agreeing action plans where appropriate.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

• Comply with and support the Business Management System within own scope of responsibilities and within the Company as a whole.
• Responsible for developing, modifying and adhering to procedures and / or processes to support the System and its applications within own area of responsibilities.
