Global successfully construct SKID packages for Shell’s Brent Charlie Platform
The Brent field is an oil field located in the East Shetland Basin 186 kilometres (116 mi) North East of the Shetland Islands with a water depth of 140 metres (460 ft). The field operated by Shell was once one of the most productive parts of the UK's offshore assets but is now nearing the end of its useful life. The Brent field has four large platforms, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta.
Scope of work:
- Material procurement from client supplied drawings.
- Fabrication and assembly of SKID packages.
- Subcontract co-ordination of piping fabrication, electrical and instrumentation.
- The Shell Brent Charlie required an additional 14” vent line, plus additional 10” RECYCLE LINE TO ensure adequate extraction of hydrocarbon ‘glugs’ occurring within Leg C1. There are two PAU’s for the extraction of recycle works, both located in the roof of UM4W, NW corner.
